Within days you will be able to slowly start moving the basket to a place that makes more sense to you, a few centimeters at a time. Do your children just toss their clothing into the closet without hanging it up? Or maybe even the floor? Sometimes the problem isn't that they don't want to but rather they can’t. Take a good look at their closet. Is the closet rod too high for them to reach? Are the hangers too big for their clothing? Is the closet far from where they get changed? You can lower the hanging rod, buy smaller hangers or introduce a clothes horse to make it easier for them.
